Personally, I would like to be able to go to more of the Career Services programs – but I always run into the same problems – I have class or work (both on and off campus) pretty much every day from 8 to 5. While it might be great to be able to go on a two day excursion to look into job opportunities – its just not feasible to do something like that when the opportunity cost is not only missing class but also not being able to buy groceries or make rent. It may not be lack of interest in the program itself because it doesn’t involve glamorous out of state travel, but instead it could be that some students really do have obligations outside of just class that we cannot afford to miss. Maybe the solution isn’t to eradicate the program entirely but think about how to rework it so that it isn’t such an intense time commitment.

Why is anyone passing on opportunities at Career Services, especially now? On campus programs such as these should be aggressively marketed, and their place at Trinity should be assured. Target the marketing organically throughout different campus communities, like Greeks, athletic organizations, etc.
