I am currently sitting in the living room of a one-story, six-bedroom house right off McCullough on a stained, flowery couch I bought from my neighbors for $75. I’m drinking wine out of a glass that says, “The hill? I spit on the hill.” It was here when we moved in. When I look at the walls of our living room, I see the rules to True American, written in Tessa’s perfect handwriting. On another...

Perched above campus, facing the twinkling San Antonio skyline and amidst a veritable sea of candles, red tablecloths and enormous chocolate covered strawberries, a group of Trinity students gathered to celebrate the day of love. The gathering in question was The Trinity Review Literary and Art Magazine’s annual Love Poem Contest and Open Mic Night. The event took place Wednesday evening and featured over a dozen student poets reading and performing original pieces as well...

Let’s start here: I’m currently studying abroad in London where the skies are gray, the teeth are crooked and everything is incredible and sarcastic and I didn’t realize I could love a country that wasn’t the good ole US of A this much. The DVD Now movie rental service that arrived on campus last August  was removed due to poor sales. The box arrived on campus with the intention of providing students with cost-friendly,  legal, late-night access to newly released movies. Located in the Coates University Center, between the newspaper stands and the help desk, the box could be accessed until midnight or 1 a.m. every night. Despite the accessibility, response to the box was lukewarm. “I don’t...

A pane of glass in the southern entrance to the foyer between North and South residence halls was shattered in the morning hours of Aug. 30. As students walked to class, the hole was noticed and reported to TUPD. By 10 a.m., caution tape surrounded the window, and the southern entrance was blocked off. TUPD has launched an investigation of the incident, and Facility Services is taking steps in order to replace the broken pane.
