State laws outlive purpose

In Britain, we function less off legislation and more off two relatively standard concepts - common sense and etiquette. Okay, so this may not be completely true, and it's possible that the latter died out with the Victorians, but in all honesty, if America creates anymore legislation, it's going to need to replant all those trees which it destroyed for farming, just to provide enough paper to print on.

Palin neither harms nor helps

Sarah Palin is my favorite person in this whole election season. She's nice to look at, she's a great speaker, she's a working mother, she's making her pregnant daughter get married ... there are endless reasons to fall in love with this woman. She's the Neo-Feminist dream! Last week's Vice Presidential debate was probably one of the most anticipated VP debates in history, and most viewers had their eye on Sarah Palin.

Obama displays partisan ideas

Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin's showed herself as confident, secure and vice-president material in last week's debate. Palin reminded the audience of Senator Obama's consistent liberal voting record and compared that to McCain's history of bipartisanship. It's not that being liberal makes one evil or somehow less qualified to be president - I say this in the spirit of bipartisanship - and many of Obama's voters have no qualms with a liberal voting record.
