Trinity goes green

Physical Plant fortifies its efforts to recycle; Aramark reduces waste in the dining halls; TUVAC continues to work towards reducing University carbon footprint
Aramark and Physical Plant have both taken drastic measures in the past year to work toward sustainability on Trinity Campus, especially through recycling programs. This summer, Physical Plant streamlined the process for the collection and recycling of paper, plastic and cardboard on the Trinity Campus, and Aramark has become 100 percent polystyrene free and will soon begin to use composters and to grow an herb garden.

Students, professors remember Emma Hutchinson

Memorial service to remember her live to be held at 2:30 p.m. today
Emma Grace Hutchinson, who spent two years at Trinity, died on Saturday, Aug. 23, at the age of 20. She will be remembered by her family, Trinity University and Rice University, where she grew up as the daughter of Professor John and Paula Hutchinson, as a loving and lovable optimist and an aspiring mathematics teacher.

Tuition increases, financial aid follows

The average student won't pay much more, University officials say
The cost of tuition for this 2008-2009 academic year has undergone a 7.25% increase from the 2007-2008 academic year, which was $25,867. This year, as tuition rose to $26,664, the cost of room and board also increased and is now listed at $8,822. As tuition increased, however, the financial aid budget followed.
