Dear Editor,

I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration of community building a university has ever seen.

For many years, sophomores and juniors have been forced to live together in an environment of anonymity and daily depression. They never befriended their neighbors, nor could they, because of their differences in class. All of that is about to change thanks to the Junior College. You haven't heard of it? Well, let me explain.
First years all live together now in harmony and peace, and now sophomores will be able to enjoy a similar pleasure. Seniors mostly live off campus. Now, where does that leave us? With the Junior College. By separating all of the classes from living with and around one another, we will definitely build community. And of course there is no higher goal that Residential Life can strive for than building community. It makes sense after all. First years only have friends who are first years, sophomores only have friends who are sophomores, and, of course, juniors want to be left alone to themselves. The establishment of the Junior College will protect the lower classes from corruption for another few years. In their own living areas, sophomores and first years can be coddled and raised by their RA's in an unadulterated environment to become outstanding members of the community.

The next great step in minimizing interclass relations would be to completely segregate academic courses by year. This may seem impractical to some, but there are those of us out there who continue to dream of the day when sophomores and juniors will no longer be able walk hand in hand to class: a day when every student is judged not by the content of their character, but by the year in which they plan to graduate.
